The Bold Edge Web Design Program focuses on developing the visual, graphic, and information design skills required to create compelling Web sites.

Students learn professional applications for Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash, or equivalent software tools. Course projects include digital imaging, color, typography, and composition, Web page design using HTML, tables, frames, and CSS, ecommerce and gateway pages, site maps, Web page design styles, and Flash animation.

With each of our courses, you will be working with actual real world examples, allowing you to learn the actual skills necessary for the web design field.

PW: Photoshop for the Web
An introductory through intermediate level Adobe Photoshop class. The course covers retouching, type, masks, paths, optimizing images for the web, laying out a web page with slices, and creating rollovers.

AD: Dreamweaver / HTML / CSS
HTML is the language of the World Wide Web, a very simple yet often intimidating system of tags that enables text, graphics, sound, and video to be viewed on billions of Web pages. Learn how to use CSS to gain control over page elements such as fonts, lists, color, backgrounds, borders, relative positioning, even visibility. Widely adopted and increasingly compatible, CSS is an essential addition to any Web designer’s toolkit.

Thanks to today’s HTML editors, (programs such as Dreamweaver) entire sites can be designed without “hand-coding” in HTML. Applications to help users find the right HTML codes have become more user friendly but for any Web designer, a baseline knowledge of HTML is critical. You’ve got to know how HTML (Hyper Text Mark Up Language) works — and how to fix things when it doesn’t.

AF: Basic Flash Animation
When Web designers think dynamic, they think Flash. The vector-based tool, rapidly taking over the Web, can create everything from simple animations to entire sites. You’ll develop a basic understanding for basic drawing and animating tools in Flash, creating basic flash animations

Want to to set up a store site for a client?
