Does this sound like you?
Awesome Creative: You know you’re the creative, artistic type, and you think you’ll be good at graphics. You can take a professional course to master the skills that jive with your talents and make it profitable.
I want to be more than an office worker: Office work is getting boring, and you think you can do more than just answering phone calls and typing documents all day.
Teacher who wants to make nice handouts and maybe even make money: You love being creative when you give out sheets, but there’s a limit to the places you can go with Word and Publisher. If you learn professional design programs, not only will you make more beautiful sheets now, but you can use it as a future flexible income too.
Classes include assignments to ensure that you’ve truly mastered the material.

FAQ
As long as you’re very comfortable using a computer, you’re good. We’ll teach you the specific design programs as part of the course.
Graphic Design Programs covers Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. It’s a great option for someone who just wants to learn the programs well.
Graphic Design Masterclass includes Graphic Design Software PLUS a deep dive into design (think: around 12 lessons per design topic). You’ll also get a thorough grounding in business setup, management and marketing. (Because this course isn’t just about making pretty designs – it’s about using those skills to make more money!)
Basically, in the Masterclass you learn all what you need to know to get started as a professional and confident Graphic Designer. GD Software just teaches you the software-without design. I mean you cannot create masterpieces without design training, right?
The Masterclass training will give you the training you need to enter the field on a solid footing.
Yes, you can. You can take GD LevelUP. We will give you some software related projects to complete to make sure you have comprehensive knowledge of these software programs. Then you can dive right into becoming a pro at design and learn all the business skills you need to do well as a professional Graphic Designer.
You’ll need the Adobe CC student subscription (available here). This subscription includes all the programs you’ll learn during the course.
You can join our cohort- based option or self-paced option.
With our cohort option, you join our Fall, Winter or Summer cohort. Be a part of a group of students you get to know, share projects with and get in a shmooze. PLUS get some live time with your design mentors. You get access to our proven flexibility with accountability program to track your progress and keep you on track through regular check in calls and emails!
Our self paced option allows you to start when you like, but does require more self-motivation to drive you through the course. It is great if you want to get started right away, and you are driven to complete the course.
Each lesson is delivered in a video recording where you’ll hear the instructor talk while you view what she’s doing on her screen. You can pause, rewind and rewatch. (You can even watch at double speed in the online version, though we don’t recommend that. 🙂
The lessons come with files (also included on the USB drive) so you can try out the skills on your own.
Most lessons have homework assignments. These are design projects similar to those a graphic designer might create as part of her job. These projects help you practice what you’ve learned, and you’ll even have a chance to work with real clients.
If you have any questions during the course you can always reach us via phone or email during our tech support hours.
You’ll have access to the course videos for two years.
Definitely.
We have two packages so you can choose the one that works best for you.
Online Package: You’ll receive your course login information by email within 24-48 business hours of registering. Your student portal will contain:
- all course outline booklets
- instructions and videos
- lesson files
USB Package: Your course materials are packed into our signature stylish folder, including:
- A course outline booklet describing what we’ll cover in each lesson along, with that lesson’s homework assignment.
- A QuickStart guide which walks you through the process of getting started with the course. (Of course if you have any questions you can contact us!)
- Your USB drive, which contains all of the course videos, design videos, and all files discussed during the lessons so that you can follow along on your own computer. You’ll also find a bonus section with lots of free downloaded images you can use in your projects, plus many beautiful free fonts
- Various modules will be accessed through a monthly download link (you can be offline the rest of the time). You will need at least email access to send and receive your project feedback.
You need a computer with (at least):
- I5 processor
- 8 GB RAM
- USB drive
- Mouse (not just a trackpad)
- 15-inch screen
- The ability to play audio and videos
We also recommend email or internet access if you plan to send in your projects for comments
For the USB package you will need a Windows computer, since the video files we send aren’t compatible with other models. (Sorry! You can still watch the videos online and get all other files by USB.)
In short.
No 😅.
Here is why. During your time at The Bold Edge, you will get intense training in Software, Design and Business as it pertains to a designer specifically.
No fluff or extra stuff that does not pertain to you as a future designer.
Credits? Not needed to get a great job as a Graphic Designer. As a designer you need to show up with a great design portfolio, thorough knowledge of the design process, with solid business and communication skills. This you get at The Bold Edge (along with fabulous support).
If you plan to go into Design as a profession–this is the place for you, since our experienced design mentors will help guide you to your goals, and our job placement team, will i’h help find you the best job to suit your needs.
See you in class!
It depends. No – really. It depends on how intensely you schedule yourself. The course could take you anywhere from 9 months to a year. It can even be done faster, depending on how intensely you pace yourself.
When you sign up we’ll work with you to create a personalized schedule so you can pace yourself properly.
Glad you asked. 🙂 Support is one of the hallmarks of The Bold Edge courses. We believe in being there for any questions you have. The Graphic Design Masterclass includes a FULL year of support and project feedback. (OK, that’s not really accurate. We actually answer our graduates’ questions way after they finish the course, too!)
This course has a lot of success converting raw talent into professional design skills. Businesses know this and reach out to us all the time when they’re looking for fresh talent.
We also have a dedicated Job Development team that networks, makes connections, and develops job leads for our Masterclass students. Our team sends out daily emails with job leads, and regularly posts job openings that we find all over the world.
Over the past year alone, we have sent out over 366 job leads!
We also support you during the course–and are there for your questions you have on the job, so you feel fully confident all the time!
Aside from knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, In-depth knowledge of design and the business of design, you’ll also have a professional portfolio of designs you’ve created during the course PLUS a valuable course certificate from The Bold Edge.
Not sure if you should go all in? Take a test drive with our popular GD Teen course. Walk away with an enjoyable and useful skill…or take it further and join the Masterclass. The lower price point makes it the perfect first step into the exciting world of graphic design.

I loved the stimulating lessons, hands-on learning and useful advice that went far beyond the classroom
I made a smart move by joining The Bold Edge. I entered as a true novice, totally illiterate to graphic design and a year later I’m b”H a busy member of the art dept. at a local printer. I loved the stimulating lessons, hands-on learning and most of all useful advice that went far beyond the classroom. Their approach is professional, personal and patient too! It was truly a wonderful learning experience.
